Passed away on Tuesday December 17, 2013 at Grand River Regional Hospital, K-W Health Centre, Kitchener. Elinore resided at R.R. # 1 New Dundee and was born 69 years ago in Kitchener. She was the daughter of the late Willard & Ruby (Hamacher) Haas.
Beloved wife of Ken Moody who she married August 12, 1967. Loving mother of Rochelle & Michael Burnett of Campbellville, Heidi & Don Kroes of Milton, Abby & Steve Numan of Bright. Sadly missed by her grandchildren AJ, Nick, Ashlyn and Jayce. Remembered by her brothers-in-law Rev. Allan Shantz of Kitchener, Russell & Diane Moody of Brampton, sisters-in-law Marian & Paul Snyder of Waterloo and Marjorie Moody of Manitoulin Island. Missed by a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Elinore was predeceased by her sister Clarene Shantz and brother-in-law Dwight Moody.
Elinore was a member of Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church, New Dundee. She taught for many years for the Waterloo Board of Education and Dayspring Christian Academy. She was a member of the Wilmot Horticultural Society. She enjoyed sewing for different charities, gardening and watching her grandchildren participate in their sporting events.
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg tonight (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. and again Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service to celebrate Elinore’s life will take place on Saturday December 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church, New Dundee with Pastor Graham Burkhart and Pastor Randy Banks officiating. Interment in Wilmot Centre Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, Kitchener or Samaritans Purse.
