Erb, Clara
Passed away on Saturday May 9, 2009 at her residence Nithview Community, New Hamburg. Clara was formerly of R.R. # 2 Wellesley and was born 95 years ago in Wilmot Township. A daughter of the late John B. & Sarah (Bender) Yutzi.
Beloved wife of the late Norman O. Erb who predeceased August 18, 1979. Sadly missed by her sons Wilfred (predeceased December 31, 2007) & Velma Erb of Waterloo, Stanley & Doris Erb of Wellesley, Ralph & Elaine Erb of Seven Persons, Alberta, Lloyd & Jean Erb of R.R. # 2 Wellesley. Sadly missed by grandchildren Jeanette & David George, Margaret & Jim Rudy, Paul & Melissa Erb, Pam Erb, Kevin & Tracey Erb, Jeff Erb, Rosalynn &Daryl Cressman, Christopher Erb, Landon & Jessica Erb, Julian Erb, Reid Erb, Lisa Erb, Wendy & Ron O’Rourke, Mike Erb and David Erb, great-grandchildren Matthew, Aaron, Trevor & Chantal, Crystal, Corey, Madison, Mykaela, Daniel, Emma and Gracie and great-great-grandchildren Brody, Mikayla and Joshua. Also remembered by sister-in-law Miriam Yutzi of Baden and a number of nieces and nephews. Clara was predeceased by her sister Gladys & Roy Denyer brothers Anson & Mary Yutzi, Erlis Yutzi, Elmer & Agnes Yutzi and a number sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Clara was a member of Mapleview Mennonite Church, R.R. # 2 Wellesley where she participated in the sewing circle and taught Sunday School. She worked for many families during her teenage years and enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Wednesday May 13, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday May 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bruce Sawatsky and Pastor Amsey Martin officiating. A reception will follow immediately following the service. The burial to follow at Mapleview Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Nithview Community, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society.
