Passed away suddenly at his residence in New Hamburg on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Robert was born 73 years ago, a son of the late Edward Anger and former Dorothy Spaetzel. Beloved husband of Diane Anger (nee Yutzi) of New Hamburg. Loving father of Patricia Kalbhenn (Richard), Stephanie Price (Kevin), all of Kitchener, and James Anger (Aimee) of Paris. Dear grandfather of Rebecca, Chloe, Ciaran, Aiden, and Erin. Survived by siblings Donna-Lou Grundy (Fred) of Winterbourn, Harold Anger of Kitchener, Valerie Hein (Terry) of Mannheim, Kenneth Anger (Joyce) of Baden. Robert was predeceased by a grandson Alan Kalbhenn and sister-in-law Iris Anger.
Robert was very active with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 532, where he had served as President for many years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served on council and was “Mr. Fix-it”. He was also a member of the New Hamburg Optimist Club and had been a volunteer fire fighter in New Hamburg. He was an avid golfer and was a member of Foxwood Golf Club.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 23 Church Street, New Hamburg on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 noon. Pastors Tanya Ramer and Helen Toman officiating.
A Legion service will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 532, 65 Boullee Street on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 2 p.m.
