Obituary for Vera Brenneman

Passed away peacefully at Nithview Community, New Hamburg on Friday, December 16, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Waterloo County 91 years ago, a daughter of the late Noah Zehr and former Katie Gingerich.  Loving wife of Oscar Brenneman who predeceased her on October 26, 1981.  Dear mother of Marilyn and Gary Wilk of Waterloo and Richard and Michele Brenneman of Baden. Loving grandma to Christine, Alison and husband Jeff Senior, David, Kyle and wife Nicole, Stephanie and her partner Jon Johnston, Grace and Jordan.  Sadly missed by her great-grandchildren Emma and Kira Senior and Kadence Brenneman.
Vera is predeceased by her brothers Daniel and wife Dorothy Zehr and William and wife Florence Zehr.  She will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as her many friends.
Vera was a member of the Living Water Community Christian Fellowship in New Hamburg and worked as a House Keeper at the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener.  She was an avid quilter, gardener and enjoyed spending her time volunteering at Self Help.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 7 – 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.  A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Living Water Community Christian Fellowship, 45 Hincks Street, New Hamburg with Pastor Jim Whitehead officiating.  Interment to follow in the 16 th Line East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery.
